SERVICE PROVIDER LICENSING

Fixed-Term Service License

Predictable capacity for committed customers and a stronger margin structure.

The Fixed-Term Service License is used when a service provider delivers a TR7 service to its customer for a defined period. The enterprise customer chooses the capacity, bundle scope, and service duration upfront; the service provider then operates that service in an isolated customer space on top of the Platform License.

This model fits customers who want predictable budgets and guaranteed capacity. From the service provider's side, it delivers lower unit cost, clearer revenue planning, and more sustainable service margins.

Clear capacity for the committed customer. Predictable revenue for the service provider.

Fixed-Term and PAYG customer services can run together on the same Platform License — pick the right commercial model for each customer.

What Is the Fixed-Term Service License?

The Fixed-Term service license lets an MSP serve its customers with committed capacity and a contract period. There is a separate service license for each customer: bandwidth, bundle, and other capacity parameters are set at contract signing.

Usage within the selected capacity is not hourly-tracked throughout the term — no hourly metering, no usage counters, no overage billing. The customer generates as much traffic as they want under the agreed capacity, and you receive the contracted fee set at the start.

Term options: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years. Longer terms qualify for discounts. The Active Operations Licence (ActiveOps) is automatically included for the entire term.

A Platform License is required — Fixed-Term service licenses do not stand alone; they are added on top of the Service Provider Platform License for each customer.

Core Advantages of the Fixed-Term Service

Committed customers, predictable revenue, and stronger service economics

Significantly Lower Service Costs

Per-service costs on Fixed-Term are significantly lower than Pay-As-You-Go. Improve your margins on committed customers while staying competitive. The longer the commitment, the better the economics.

Predictable Customer Revenue

Multi-year commitments provide stable, predictable revenue streams with upfront customer commitments. Build a sustainable service business with reliable recurring income.

Margin Control

Set your own pricing based on customer value, not on our costs. We never see what you charge your customers. Your pricing strategy, your margins, your business.

Requires a Platform License

Fixed-Term services build on the Platform License foundation (FREE for virtual, bare-metal for hardware). No additional platform cost — only customer service licensing.

Mix With Pay-As-You-Go Services

Run Fixed-Term and Pay-As-You-Go customer services side by side on the same Platform License. Offer committed pricing to enterprise customers and flexible pricing to startups — all from a single infrastructure.

Fully White-Label

Full API control: provisioning, configuration, monitoring, billing data, and even ticket systems. Your customers never see TR7 — only your professional service brand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Fixed-Term Service License?
The Fixed-Term Service License lets you offer your customers committed application delivery and security services from 1 month to 5 years — with usage that is not hourly-tracked within the selected capacity throughout the term. Each customer service requires its own Fixed-Term license built on the Platform License foundation. It delivers lower costs than Pay-As-You-Go for committed capacity.
Do I need a Platform License to sell Fixed-Term services?
Yes — the Platform License is the required foundation. It provides the multi-tenant infrastructure (free for virtual, bare-metal for hardware). On top of that, you purchase a Fixed-Term license for each customer service you sell.
How is pricing calculated for Fixed-Term services?
Each customer service you sell requires a Fixed-Term license based on committed bandwidth/capacity. Pricing is per service (not per-tenant), with commitment periods from 1 month to 5 years. Within the term, usage is not hourly-tracked. Longer commitments typically receive better pricing.
Can I mix Fixed-Term and Pay-As-You-Go customers on the same platform?
Absolutely. Your Platform License supports both service types simultaneously. You can sell Fixed-Term services to customers who want commitment and Pay-As-You-Go to customers who want flexibility — all on the same infrastructure.
What happens when a Fixed-Term service expires?
You can renew the Fixed-Term license for another commitment period, convert it to Pay-As-You-Go for continued monthly billing, or terminate the customer service. The Platform License remains — you only manage individual customer service licenses.
How does Fixed-Term differ from Enterprise Fixed-Term licenses?
Service Provider Fixed-Term licenses are for the services you sell to your customers (multi-tenant, requires Platform License). Enterprise Fixed-Term licenses are for direct end-customers running their own infrastructure (single-tenant, no Platform License required).
How does the white-label API work for customer services?
Our comprehensive API covers everything for your customer services: tenant provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, billing data extraction, and support ticketing integration. Embed TR7 entirely transparently into your existing customer portals. Your customers interact with your interface and your brand — TR7 infrastructure stays in the background.
What margin can I expect on Fixed-Term services?
You set your own pricing based on customer value and market positioning. We never see what you charge your customers. Fixed-Term services have significantly lower costs than Pay-As-You-Go, giving you more margin flexibility. Many service providers price on value (performance, features, SLAs) rather than pass-through costs, enabling strong margins on committed customers.
